Jaehyuk Lee

Assistant Conductor
Saxophone Instructor 

Jaehyuk Lee, a distinguished saxophonist, has been making notable waves in New York's music scene. His exceptional talent has been recognized through prestigious accolades, including victories at the Eisenberg–Fried Concerto Competition and The Philharmonic Society of Arlington Young Artist Competition.

Lee's musical journey began with a Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University College of Music and a Master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music. His prowess was further demonstrated when he secured first place and special awards at a renowned music magazine contest in Korea. He has also triumphed in international competitions such as the Vienna International Music Competition, the Mozart Competition, the London Young Musician Competition, and the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition. His impressive achievements culminated in a successful debut performance at Carnegie Hall, following his win at the AVIMC competition.

In addition to his competitive successes, Lee served with distinction in the Korean Army Band for two years, performing at numerous concerts across the nation. His experience extends to collaborations with the Seoul Wind Orchestra and the Seoul National University saxophone band. His talent has been further affirmed through guest performances with the Korean Dito Orchestra and the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra during his college years.

Currently, Lee is pursuing an Artist Diploma at the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, where he studies under the guidance of Stacy Wilson. He continues to refine his craft and gain invaluable experience in one of the world's most dynamic and diverse musical environments.
